Festival locationsScreenings of Molodist 2007 will be held in such movie theatres: "Kyiv" cinema
History"Kyiv" cinema was opened November 23, 1952 on the Chervonoarmiyska Street. The process of construction had been started before the Second World War. General reconstruction of the building took place in 2000. It was for the first time in fifty years. The architectural style of the cinema was kept during the reconstruction. Classic architecture of Stalin era coupled with modern repertoire and advanced technique create the inimitable aesthetic impression. The film exhibitions were resumed in 2002 after the end of the reconstruction. January 17, 2003 "Blue Hall" resumed it’s functioning. Today there are three cinema halls in "Kyiv" cinema: "Blue Hall" (300 places), "Red Hall" (330 places) and "Cinemateka" Hall.
"Zhovten" cinema
HistoryThe first large cinema "Devyate Derzhkino" ("Zhovten") commenced its activity in November 8, 1930 in Kyiv. The cinema was reconstructed several times. Not only was the pane, but also room equipment renewed several times. "Zhovten" cinema kept functioning during the Second World War. But the building was half-ruined by the end of war. The cinema is named "Zhovten" since then. New cinema hall for 300 places was opened in 1960. Alteration, improvement and major maintenance of premise took place in 1990. Today there are three cinema halls in “Zhovten” cinema: "Hegemon" Hall (400 places), "Anshlag" Hall (46 places) and "Kinoman" Hall.
