Molodist Kyiv international film festival
18 September 2024

Kyiv International Film Festival Molodist announced the new dates, presented the new visual style and the participants of the National Feature Competition

The 53rd edition of the Molodist KIFF will be held in Kyiv from October 26 to November 3. Traditionally, Molodist screens about 200 films that introduce  the diversity of modern young cinema, as well as hits from Berlinale, Cannes, Venice, etc.

This year's festival will be held under the motto "Cinema that leaves traces". McCann Kyiv presented the new identity and slogan for the film festival. Creative agency McCann Kyiv has developed a new visual style for the festival.

"Films on "Molodost" are not the kind of movies you watch today and forget tomorrow. It is a unique cinematic experience. Regardless of which film you see at the festival, it will definitely leave a mark in your memory. This connection between vision and memories became the basis of a new identity. We combined elements such as kinetic typography and the eye. The eye is a kind of gate through which visual images pass and leave an imprint inside us. The new identity of the festival is flexible and modern. It makes it possible to create a more consistent presence of the brand in the media," commented the McCann Kyiv creative agency.

"Molodist" is still the only festival in Ukraine certified by FIAPF (International Federation of Associations of Film Producers) in the field of specialized film events. After all, the main focus was and remains on the directors' first films. The main location of the film festival will be the "Zhovten" cinema (26 Kostyantynivska St.). The opening and awarding ceremony of the winners of the 53rd "Molodost" will be held at the Cinema House (6 Saksaganskogo St.).

The winner of the Grand Prix for the best film of the International competition program will receive a cash prize of 5,000 US dollars and the traditional award of  Molodist — "Scythian deer". The prize for the best film in each category of the International Competition Program will be 2,000 USD, and the winners will also be awarded a Scythian Deer statuette.
