Molodist KIFF announced the winners of the full-length national competition held at the FILMFEST HAMBURG and opened the sale of season tickets

The film "How is Katya?" by Khrystyna Tynkevich won the national feature competition. This is the director's full-length debut. The Molodist Film Festival is organizing a full-length national competition in Hamburg for the second time.

“The director takes us to a journey that hurts. Very consequent and bold. In a tempo that we can follow. Calmly the director allows the characters to fill up the space without pressure.

All departments are allied to one strong vision. Technically and dramaturgically one can not resist but feel the main character who tries to solve biggest conflicts a mother could have. Stated in current Ukrainian society with all the ambivalence, the tension stays until the end. We don‘t want to loose hope, as the character takes the responsibility to reflect and act,“ – the jury statement says.

The winning film received the "Scythian Deer" award and a cash prize of UAH 100,000. The prize was sponsored by the International Institute of Depth Psychology.

The jury of the competition included Ukrainian-German actor Alina Levshyn, austrian film director David Wagner, and Ukrainian doctor of psychology Svitlana Uvarova.

Special awards were given to the films "Rock. Paper. Grenade" by Iryna Tsilyk  and "Luxembourg, Luxembourg" by Antonio Lukich.

Our Special mention goes out to LUXEMBOURG, LUXEMBOURG, a movie that touched our hearts, made us laugh and surprised us throughout the whole film with original ideas. Not only that. Those two brothers, and all the other characters in this movie, struck us with their brilliant acting and dialogues, while NEVER becoming a flat cliché. This often happens, especially in the comedy genre. But not in this film,” – the jury clarifies.

In addition, festival tickets for the 52nd Molodist KIFF went on sale. Festival pass holders can attend all screenings at the Cinema and Krakow Cinema, except for the opening and closing ceremonies. Season tickets are available at a reduced price of 750 hryvnias until October 15.

A student subscription is also valid at the festival (with a student ticket). Its entrance fee is only 350 hryvnias (until October 15).

From October 16 to October 21, festival passes will cost 1,000 hryvnias, and student passes will cost 500 hryvnias.
