Ismael, who dreams of becoming a filmmaker, returns back home to Trujillo, a peripheral city in Peru, after studying film in Switzerland. He’s faced with changes in his city and his family, and with the difficulties of making a living in his field. This voyage in between continents will become an interior journey of self discovery. Could this immense sea be the border between Ismael and his dreams?

Salomón Pérez

Salomón Pérez (1989, Peru) graduated in filmmaking at École Cantonal d'Art de Lausanne (ECAL) in Switzerland. His films have been screened at IFFR (Netherlands), Mar del Plata (Argentina), Malaga (Spain), Molodist (Ukraine), Film at Lincoln Center (USA), among others. He has also been teaching film in Universities and collaborating with other filmmakers and researchers in color grading and film preservation.
