The story takes place in 2022, which is also called The Year of the Tiger in Eastern calendars. When the full-scale invasion breaks out, the main character Oleksandr decides to stay in his hometown Kharkiv, in the Northern Saltivka district. Now all of his surroundings consist of just his pets and the six neighbors. During one of the shellings a missile hits Oleksandr’s apartment, and all he is left with now is his camera, which he uses to tell us his story.

Oleksandr Nazarov

Oleksandr Nazarov is a Ukrainian journalist, director, photographer. The main topics of his documentary research are the events during the Russian aggression, the Revolution of Dignity, the annexation of Crimea, as well as internally displaced persons, refugees, military rehabilitation, reforms in Ukraine. He has been working at hromadske.ua since 2013. For many years he successfully cooperated with international foundations and organizations such as BBC, Council of Europe, GIZ, Thomson Foundation, Public Broadcasting of Ukraine.

Oleksandr is author of the film about resistance to the repressive system - "Crimea without a choice", the reports about the displaced people "Forced", and also director of the documentary about the opposition to Russian cultural expansion and propaganda, "Shchedrik against the "Russian peace"".
