Beware of a good dog!

Program:
National Competition
Year:
2024
Country:
Ukraine, Poland
Genre:
Fiction
Duration:
27’
Stepan regularly adopts elderly dogs from the shelter, giving them comfort in their final days and allowing them to pass away peacefully by his side. This is his own way of coming to terms with the end of life. He dreams of dying peacefully of old age, not from a missile hit. But peace is a privilege stolen by a young boy named Gogo. What happens when the two of them from different generations, yet equally lonely, meet at a cemetery at night? They share a cigarette, eat a bucket of ice cream, and dance.
