She grew up on an ostrich farm in Germany. She studied fine arts at the HGB Leipzig and then feature film directing and screenwriting at the KHM Cologne. Her multi-award-winning novel project DIE BROMBEEREN MIT WANZENSPEICHEL that is about three sisters and many beavers, unfortunately had to take a break for a while – while she completed MILCH INS FEUER. MILCH INS FEUER is both Justine Bauer’s graduation film and her debut film. She is currently working on her second film DIE KÄLTE BRENNENDER FICHTEN..
