Nikon Romanchenko

Nikon Romanchenko was born in 1991 in Kyiv. In 2014, he graduated from the Karpenko-Kary Kyiv National University of Theater, Cinema and Television. In the same year, Nikon won the award for the best national short film at the Molodist Film Festival with his documentary FACES (2014). 

The director's next work, LEOPOLIS NIGHT (2022), brought him another victory at Molodist and the Odesa International Film Festival, and was also screened at the Sarajevo Film Festival, the Dutch Short Film Festival GoShort, and the Batumi International Art House Film Festival. Nikon has also directed the short films UNAVAILABLE and TERA, which have been screened at a number of international film festivals. 

Nikon is one of the initiators of the NGO “Contemporary Ukrainian Cinema” and a member of the Ukrainian Film Academy.
