Panel discussion: "Memory and Future: Crimea in Cinema and Culture, the history of return"

We invite you to a panel discussion on the role of Crimea in cinema, art and cultural heritage of Ukraine. Participants will discuss the current context of Crimea, which is facing the challenges of occupation, and about ways to preserve the cultural identity and historical memory of the Crimean Tatar people, reveal the importance of cinema and culture as tools to preserve national heritage and a true picture of Crimea in the context of the information and cultural war. The discussion will touch upon the topics of resistance, cultural unity and how art can become a platform for dialogue, support and inspiration in the struggle for justice and the right to self-identification.
Participants: Akhtem Seitablaev, Honored Artist of Ukraine, film director, producer, actor, military officer and lecturer; Gulnara Abdulayeva, historian and TV presenter of Crimean Tatar origin; Usain Bekirov, Honored Artist of Ukraine, professor, Crimean Tatar composer; Refat Chubarov - Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.
Moderator: Yevhen Bondarenko, Head of the Information Support Department of the Representation of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
