Ben-Hur
William Wyler was a four time Academy award winning American director, producer and screenwriter. He was born in Alsace in France into a Jewish family. William shifted to America to pursue a career in the film industry. He made his debut with the American short film CROOK BUSTER (1925). William was also the director of critically acclaimed films like ROMAN HOLIDAY (1953), BEN-HUR (1959) and THE COLLECTOR (1965). William has been one of American cinema`s most celebrated and respected directors of all time. During his long and illustrious career, he was the recipient of numerous awards. The winner of 11 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor, BEN-HUR stands as one of the greatest Hollywood epics ever filmed.
