Anastasiia Karpenko

Anastasiia Karpenko was born on March 9, 1983, in Kyiv. She graduated from the I. K. Karpenko-Kariy Kyiv National University of Theatre, Cinema, and Television, where she studied acting under the guidance of theater director Eduard Mytnytskiy. 

Since 2004, Karpenko has been an actress at the Kyiv State "Theatre on the Left Bank," since 2006, stars regularly in films and TV series, including playing the main character in the TV series IN HER CAR, in the movie ROCK PAPER GRENADE, and the lead role in the movie HOW IS KATIA? At the 75th Locarno Film Festival, the latter won a special Ciné+ jury prize and the Best Actress prize for Anastasia Karpenko, and at the Molodist Film Festival 2023 the main prize in the national feature film competition.

Anastasia also starred in the film UNDER THE VOLCANO that was selected to represent Poland at the Oscars in the Best International Film category.
